The fifth annual show was held on Sunday the 2nd July and what a great day the weather was superb, thank you to all that came along to support this worthy event.

Our Vice Chairman Lindsay Wilson accepts a cheque on behalf of Yeovil Freewheelers from Mr Peter Prager the President of the Rotary Club of Yeo Vale for£5000
We were one of the nine charities to benefit from the Classics at the Castle event organised by the Rotary Club of Yeo Vale, a great day out that showcased a wide range of supercars, eye-catching american cars as well as the £1.8 million McLaren P1 that featured on Top Gear. Next years event at Sherborne Castle will be a two day show held on the 15th/16th July.

The League of Friends of Crewkerne Hospital
A huge thank you to the League of Friends of Crewkerne Hospital who today presented Yeovil Freewheelers with an amazing cheque for£2500
This money will pay for the purchase of Helite airbag safety vests for duty riders to use, these airbag vests provide protection for the riders back, neck, coccyx, ribs and chest and inflate within 0.1 of a second should the rider part company with the bike. As our riders spend the majority of their duty operating on dark, wet and often muddy roads within the south west these airbag vests are a welcome addition to the riders safety kit only possible because of this generous donation.
